NOTES:
February 2010 - In February 2010 a decision was taken by the nine PCT’s in the East Midlands to change the access criteria for IVF and ICSI as from 1 April 2010. At a meeting of the EMSCG Board on 26 March it was subsequently agreed to defer any actions until the May EMSCG Board meeting.
This section of the website has been developed in partnership with Merck Serono Limited through an educational grant as a service to patient care. The final editorial content is exclusively that of Infertility Network UK.
• Each Primary Care Trust and Health Board in the UK were contacted to provide an update of the infertility services offered locally. In cases where the organisation failed to respond to the FOI request, an existing data source was used:
• The three sources of data are:
– Infertility Network UK survey, 2006
– Department of Health survey of IVF provision 2007
– Freedom of Information request 2008
• The non-clinical access criteria has been adapted from the Department of Health survey of IVF provision (2007).
• Some organisations have refused to allow information to be published.
